Users of Microsoft’s Windows 8 productivity apps can look forward to a new update which will improve their usability and add new functions. The Mail app has seen the most work, with support for more advanced Microsoft Exchange features and other general email improvements.

Improvements include:

+ Email folders can now be created, renamed and deleted from within the app.

+ Emails flags are now supported.

+ Syncing with Microsoft Exchange servers is faster.

+ The Calendar app uses Microsoft Exchange’s Scheduling Assistant.
