The next member of the Meet the SMS Team series is our sales executive Matt Saltarski – let’s find out more about him, his role, background, and interests!
So Matt what is your role at SMS?
In short, I am a sales executive who hunts for new business. As well as managing customer accounts.
What’s your background?
I originally came to the UK from Poland. Initially, I didn’t speak excellent English, but after a few years of hard work, I became proficient in it and was able to understand the world in its entirety.
What is your experience in sales?
Due to my lack of experience at the time, I started selling food door to door but only on commission. As a result of my ambition and hard work over the years, I moved up the ladder and now I am working with business owners to help to find them the best services/solutions for their business needs.
When did you join the SMS team?
I joined SMS in January 2021.
Why did you choose SMS?
It was a wonderful opportunity for me to transition from a B2C sales environment to a B2B environment, and SMS’s position in the IT market played a huge part in my decision to join, as technology is becoming an ever more vital part of our lives.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
I enjoy being able to be there for my clients or colleagues when they need me. Having my clients have the best possible experience and walking away feeling pleased with their overall experience is extremely important to me.
Why should a potential customer choose SMS?
At SMS we put our customer’s needs first when searching for the right products for their business, we give them our full attention both on a business and personal level. Plus it is way easier and much faster to get assistance from us than it would be from Microsoft directly, most technical and account management queries are resolved internally by our experts who are available 24/7/365
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Any hobbies?
I would not call it a hobby, but I am extremely passionate about lifting weights, which has fundamentally become a daily part of my life. It has given me a focused and determined mindset.
If you could change places with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
I would change with the 18 years old me to live through my golden youth once again!
What are the three items you would take with you to a deserted island?
I would take a speedboat and fuel to get out of there, and a bottle of whiskey to get me through it all. If the island was hot then the whisky would have to be Glenfiddich 18yr or Bowmore 15
