Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP2 launched

26th September 2012

Please note: This is an historic news item kept for archiving. Currently customers on hosted Microsoft Exchange benefit from the latest Microsoft Exchange 2013 platform.

Business email and web hosting provider Simply Mail Solutions was the first UK host to offer customers a full Microsoft Exchange 2010 service. Now they have delivered a further network upgrade and are providing users access to Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP2. Exchange 2010 SP2 builds upon the features of SP1 to create an ever better working environment and mailbox access for customers.

Keith Pritchard, CTO of Simply Mail Solutions commented:

"When we launched Exchange 2010 it delivered a greatly improved service to our customers. With increased mailbox size, more administrator features, greater integration with mobile devices and improved webmail access through Outlook Web Access.
"Exchange 2010 SP2 builds on these improvements to create an even richer mailbox hosting environment and better administrator controls. Public Folders are back, helping customers share information, OWA has been updated to improve mobile access and IT administrators now have a greater range of self-management options in their control panel."

CEO Colin Smith added:

"Launching SP2 demonstrates our ability to continuously improve the services we offer to customers. One of the many advantages of a shared Exchange hosting environment is that customers benefit from our infrastructure improvements without having to worry about server upgrades and licensing costs."

Customers can order Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP2 mailboxes from today.
